The team behind
FunBIM

Three backgrounds, one shared project: making site tracking simpler for field teams.

Who is behind FunBIM?

FunBIM was born in 2012 from an observation by Laurent Biancardini, then a site manager at VINCI Energies on the Descartes tower project in Paris: the tablets arriving on the market could report blocking points and site progress in real time.

He left the group to develop the software, later joined by Adrienne Riera as head of sales and by Marie Blin for the brand’s visual communication.

The team

The three people who build FunBIM and support construction companies every day.

CEO, Founder and Developer

Laurent Biancardini

Laurent is an engineer, a graduate of ESIEE (the French graduate school of electrical and electronic engineering).

He started his career as a site manager at VINCI Energies. It was 2012. He was working on the Descartes tower project in Paris.

Tablets had just reached the shops and he realised they would be tremendous tools to help teams in the field. Blocking points, site progress or quality check forms: they could be used to report information from the sites.

Laurent then left the group and developed the cloud-based site tracking software, in SaaS mode. He worked with his former colleagues to refine it: FunBIM was born.

Adrienne Riera, head of sales at FunBIM
Head of Sales

Adrienne Riera

Adrienne Riera is an engineer. In 2005 she met Laurent Biancardini at ESIEE (the French graduate school of electrical and electronic engineering), where she was his student mentor.

She went on to study at the IAE business school in Grenoble.

She started her career as a business manager at Altran, working with IT consultants in the telecommunications and finance sectors.

After moving to Nîmes, she spent 4 years in wealth management and took part in building the FunBIM site tracking software, in particular on features and ergonomics.

Today, Adrienne runs the company’s sales. Projects won? The construction of Santiago de Chile airport, the VINCI headquarters in Nanterre and the Maison de la Radio with Satelec.

Marie Blin, marketing and communication officer at FunBIM
Marketing & Communication Officer

Marie Blin

Marie earned her communication degree in 2021. But her favourite field is imagery. She taught herself video editing before going further with a master’s degree in art direction in Montpellier.

In June 2024 she joined FunBIM with a clear mission: make the brand shine. Content for social media, explainer video editing, sharpening FunBIM’s image.

She shapes the application’s visual communication to make it ever more accessible and impactful.

Her extra something? A passion for video, honed project after project, always looking for the right rhythm, the right visual.

A question? Let’s talk.
